Dragon’s Blood Sedum
Sedum spurium ‘Dragon’s Blood’
4-inch pot
A classic and widely used groundcover, Dragon’s Blood stonecrop is valued for its rich, deep green foliage that develops striking red to burgundy tones, especially in cooler weather. The low, spreading habit forms a dense mat that works beautifully along borders, pathways, and rock gardens. In summer, clusters of small rose-red flowers rise just above the foliage, adding a soft layer of color.
Exceptionally tough and adaptable, this sedum thrives in well-drained soil and sunny locations. It is highly drought tolerant once established and performs well in poor or rocky soils where many other plants struggle. Its vigorous spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for covering ground quickly and suppressing weeds.
