Golden Stonecrop
Sedum acre ‘Aureum’4-inch pot
A brilliant evergreen groundcover, Golden Stonecrop forms a dense carpet of tiny, succulent leaves that emerge bright golden-yellow in spring and maintain their vibrant color through much of the growing season. In early summer, masses of cheerful star-shaped yellow flowers nearly cover the foliage, creating a dazzling display that attracts bees and other pollinators. Its fine texture and vivid color make it an excellent accent for rock gardens, crevice gardens, containers, and between stepping stones.
This low-growing sedum thrives in full sun and sharply drained soil, where it is exceptionally drought tolerant and requires little maintenance. It spreads steadily to fill open spaces, making it ideal for erosion control and low-water landscapes. The brightest foliage color develops in full sun.
