Baby Tears Stonecrop
Sedum album ‘Baby Tears’
4-inch pot
A fine-textured and fast-spreading groundcover, Baby Tears stonecrop forms a dense mat of tiny, rounded succulent leaves that create a soft, carpet-like effect. The foliage is bright green through the growing season and often develops warm reddish tones in cooler weather, adding subtle seasonal interest. In early to mid-summer, clusters of small white star-shaped flowers appear above the foliage, giving a light, airy bloom display.
This sedum thrives in well-drained soil and sunny locations, where it stays compact and colorful. It is highly drought tolerant once established and performs well in rock gardens, pathways, containers, and green roofs. Its vigorous spreading habit makes it an excellent choice for filling gaps and covering ground quickly with minimal maintenance.
