Join us for NPA Open Garden Day, a free public event presented by the Northwest Perennial Alliance, where visitors are invited to tour a collection of private gardens in the Puget Sound for inspiration, education, and the enjoyment of beautiful garden spaces.

Participants will explore the meaning and symbolism of cosmos flowers, learn essential growing and harvesting techniques for strong, long-lasting stems, and discover four creative approaches to incorporating cosmos into beautiful floral arrangements.

Introduces gardeners to permaculture principles and how to apply them in a home landscape, including plant guilds, forest layering, and the ecological role of weeds, with a focus on designing productive, multi-functional, and visually appealing gardens.
