An elegant selection of the native Lady Fern distinguished by vivid burgundy-red stems that contrast beautifully with finely divided, fresh green fronds. The graceful, arching foliage forms a soft, feathery clump, with the red coloration of the stems becoming increasingly pronounced as the plant matures.
 
Discovered in the northeastern United States and introduced through the New England Wild Flower Society, ‘Lady in Red’ combines the refined appearance of a woodland fern with excellent cold hardiness. It thrives in rich, moist soil and is beautiful massed beneath trees, along shaded pathways, or combined with hostas and other woodland perennials.
