Large-Flowered Bellwort
Uvularia grandiflora1 quart pot
A graceful native woodland perennial, large-flowered bellwort produces elegant, nodding golden-yellow flowers that dangle from gently arching stems in mid to late spring. The twisted petals give the blooms a delicate, lantern-like appearance, while the soft green foliage forms attractive clumps that blend beautifully with ferns, trilliums, and other shade-loving companions. Its understated beauty brings a natural, woodland charm to shaded gardens.
Native to the rich forests of eastern North America, this long-lived perennial thrives in humus-rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil and performs best in part shade to full shade. Slow to spread by rhizomes, it gradually forms attractive colonies and is an excellent choice for woodland gardens and naturalized landscapes.
