A majestic giant hosta, Blue Angel is prized for its enormous, heart-shaped blue-gray leaves that create a bold and elegant presence in the shade garden. The heavily textured foliage forms a graceful cascading mound, providing outstanding contrast with finer-textured ferns and woodland perennials. In midsummer, tall scapes of pale lavender to nearly white flowers rise above the foliage, attracting hummingbirds while adding another layer of interest.
 
One of the largest blue hostas available, Blue Angel thrives in rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil and performs best in part shade to full shade. The thick, corrugated leaves offer good resistance to slugs compared to many other hosta varieties, making it a dependable and low-maintenance focal point for shaded landscapes.
