Spikes of white add sparkle to sunny borders and rock gardens from late summer through fall season. The densely crowded buds on this upright Heather almost never open fully so the striking white persists for an extended bloom time. The evergreen foliage intensifies in cooler weather.
 
Heathers prefer full sun and well-drained, acid soil (some gravel or peat moss dug into the soil before planting will do the job), and they need protection from cold winter winds.
