Blazeaway Heather
Calluna vulgaris ‘Blazeaway’
4-inch pot
A colorful and compact evergreen, Blazeaway heather is valued for its dynamic foliage that shifts through shades of golden yellow, orange, and red, intensifying in cooler weather. The fine, needle-like foliage forms a dense, low-growing mound that provides strong year-round interest. In late summer to early fall, small lavender-pink flowers appear, adding a soft contrast to the warm-toned foliage.
This variety thrives in well-drained, acidic soil and performs best in full sun, where its foliage color is most vibrant. It is well suited to rock gardens, containers, and borders, especially in areas with good drainage. Low maintenance and long-lived, it benefits from light pruning after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
