A vibrant and exceptionally floriferous garden phlox, SweetSummer Red produces large, fragrant clusters of rich cherry-red flowers that bring bold color to the summer garden. The sturdy flower heads are held atop strong, upright stems above attractive deep green foliage, creating a striking display in borders, cottage gardens, and cutting gardens. The nectar-rich blooms attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators throughout the season.
 
Part of the SweetSummer series, this variety was bred for excellent vigor, strong branching, and outstanding resistance to powdery mildew. It thrives in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil and consistent moisture. Deadheading spent blooms encourages continued flowering and helps maintain a tidy appearance.
