Milkyway Hebe
Hebe × ‘Milkyway’1 gallon pot
A compact evergreen shrub, Milkyway forms a neat, rounded mound of small, precisely arranged deep green leaves that provide attractive texture throughout the year. In summer, the foliage is covered with abundant spikes of crisp white flowers—so numerous that they inspired the cultivar’s name. The flowers attract hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators and provide a fresh contrast against the dense evergreen foliage.
Milkyway performs best in full sun, which encourages heavier flowering and compact growth. Give it well-drained soil and regular water while establishing; mature plants tolerate somewhat drier conditions. Pacific Northwest nursery sources classify it as an evergreen shrub, and cultivar-specific references consistently place it around 2–3 ft. tall and roughly 2 ft. wide.
