A charming upright fuchsia with abundant double flowers combining soft pink and lavender-blue. Each pendant bloom features a pale pink tube and sepals, often tipped with green, surrounding a full lavender-blue corolla delicately veined with red. The flowers contrast beautifully against dark green foliage and are highly attractive to hummingbirds.
 
Introduced by Reimers in 1953, ‘Lena Dalton’ develops a compact, bushy habit and responds well to pinching for fuller growth. In our maritime Pacific Northwest climate, it performs well in containers or garden beds with sun to part shade, flowering continuously from late spring until frost. Although sometimes sold locally as a hardy fuchsia, it is less reliably hardy than the toughest Fuchsia magellanica types, so a protected location is advisable
