Fuchsia 'Debron's Black Cherry'

A richly colored and elegant hardy fuchsia, Debron’s Black Cherry produces abundant pendulous flowers with deep reddish-purple sepals surrounding dark violet to near-black corollas. The dramatic blooms hang like small lanterns against dark green foliage, creating a lush, jewel-toned display from summer into fall. Its darker flower coloration gives it a refined and sophisticated presence in containers, hanging baskets, and shaded borders.
 
This variety performs best in part sun to part shade with consistently moist, well-drained soil. Like many hardy fuchsias, it blooms continuously through the warmer months and benefits from regular watering and occasional light pruning to maintain a full, bushy habit. In the Pacific Northwest, established plants often return reliably with winter protection.
