Feather Reed Grass 'Karl Foerster'
Calamagrostis acutiflora
1 gallon pot
Upright clumping ornamental grass with pinkish flowers maturing to gold, rising above the foliage. Striking vertical accent when planted alone or in groups.
Karl Foerster is cool-season grass, meaning it puts on most of its growth in spring before temperatures begin exceeding 75 degrees Fahrenheit and in the fall when temperatures cool down. They generally maintain good color through the summer but won't grow much when it is hot.
Cut back in very early spring, leaving no less than 1/3 of the plant in place. If you want to divide, do so in spring.
