Salsa Cordyline
Cordyline australis ‘Salsa’
1 quart pot
A bold and colorful architectural plant, Salsa cordyline features long, sword-like leaves in rich tones of burgundy, red, and bronze, often with subtle striping. Its upright, fountain-like habit adds strong vertical interest and a tropical feel to containers and landscape plantings. The vibrant foliage provides year-round color and pairs especially well with contrasting greens and silvers.
Best grown in well-drained soil, this variety thrives in sunny, sheltered locations and benefits from protection from cold winds and hard frost. In milder areas it can develop into a small tree over time, while in cooler climates it is often used in containers for added winter protection. It becomes more drought tolerant as it establishes but performs best with occasional deep watering.
