Dwarf Golden Sweet Flag
Acorus gramineus 'Pusillus Minimus Aureus'
4-inch pot
A superb dwarf groundcover with tufts of semi-evergreen yellow-green, grass-like leaves that give off a sweet frangrance when disturbed. Slowly spreads by creeping rhizomes to form a golden mat of sweetly fragrant foliage. Grows well in wet areas and is excellent at stabilizing soil at pond and stream bed edges. A handsome addition to container arrangements. Tolerates varying amounts of foot traffic.
Reaches only 4 in. tall, spreading 8-12 in. or more over time. Thrives in average soils, including boggy conditions and standing water. Will not tolerate dry soils. Divide every 2-3 years in early spring.
