Many seed savers believe this is the ultimate paste tomato. Giant, blocky tomatoes have delicious red flesh that is perfect for paste and canning.  Both Amish Paste and Roma tomatoes are paste tomato varieties that are good for making tomato sauce and paste, however, Amish Paste tomatoes are sweeter and have a fresher flavor than Roma tomatoes.
 
Determinate tomato variety, which means that all fruit produced around a two week period.  The plant is also a little smaller and easier to support and stake vs. an indeterminate tomato variety.
