Miner’s Merlot Euphorbia
Euphorbia ‘Miner’s Merlot’
1 quart pot
A bold and distinctive perennial, Miner’s Merlot spurge is grown primarily for its dramatic dark foliage. Deep burgundy to near-black leaves form a dense, low mound that provides striking contrast in the garden from early spring through fall. In spring, it produces chartreuse flower bracts that hover above the foliage, creating a vivid color combination that draws the eye and pairs well with both cool and warm-toned plantings.
This is a tough, adaptable plant that performs best in well-drained soil and tolerates dry conditions once established. It’s an excellent choice for sunny borders, rock gardens, and containers, where its rich foliage color can anchor a planting design. Like many euphorbias, it is low maintenance and resists browsing from deer and rabbits.
