Dahlia 'BJ's Gunnar'
 
A bright and cheerful single dahlia, BJ’s Gunnar produces hot pink flowers with petals that deepen toward the center, surrounding a vivid yellow eye. The open blooms have a clean, simple form that brings strong color to the garden and is especially attractive to pollinators. Its compact size makes it useful for borders, containers, and cutting gardens.
 
Bred by Jerry Morris of Snohomish, Washington, in 2007, BJ’s Gunnar is a green-leaved cultivar known for its reliable garden performance and steady flowering through the season. Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun, pinch young plants to encourage bushiness, and stake if needed.
