Light pink blooms emerge in early spring, held above glossy green foliage, making a striking contrast. Exceptionally hardy and tough, thriving across a range of conditions, these Bergenia's are ideal candidates for the shade garden, thriving in both partial shade but will also tolerate heavy shade. 
 
Bergenia plants are light feeders and do not need supplemental fertilizer to look their best. Growing bergenia plants in loamy soil amended with organic matter provides all the nutrients they need.
