The ovate, pointed leaves, swept blue-green at the margins and dappled gold-to-chartreuse at the centers, are of sufficient heft to discourage slugs. This medium-size Hosta with pale lavender flowers in mid- to late summer won the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit and was named Hosta of the Year in 2001.
