Clematis 'The First Lady'
Clematis x 'The First Lady'
1 gallon pot
Clematis 'The First Lady' was raised by well-known American clematis nurseryman, Arthur H. Steffen, Jr., of Fairport, New York, in 1978. It was introduced into commerce in the United States in 1989. The name presumably refers to Rosalyn Carter, as she was the First Lady of the United States from 1977 to 1981, during which time the clematis was raised.
