A classic foliage perennial, Silver Mound forms a dense, perfectly rounded mound of finely divided, silky silver foliage that brings softness and contrast to sunny gardens. The delicate, fern-like leaves create a cloud-like texture that pairs beautifully with colorful flowering perennials and ornamental grasses. This variety thrives in full sun and sharply drained soil, where it maintains its best compact habit. It is exceptionally drought tolerant once established and requires little maintenance beyond an occasional light trim if the mound begins to open after flowering. Excellent drainage is essential, particularly during wet winters.
