Patriot' is one of the most exciting Hostas to come along in some time. The foliage is dark green with a broad, wavy margin of pure white, creating an especially strong and highly visible contrast. It quite literally brings light to shade. These perennials grow vigorously to 15–20″ tall and nearly twice as wide, and throw lavender flowers on 26–30″ scapes in August. 
 
Hosta 'Patriot' is a reverse variegation sport of Hosta 'Loyalist'.
