Dianthus 'Beauties Kate'
Dianthus × hybrida ‘Beauties Kate’
1 quart pot
A compact, wonderfully fragrant dianthus, Beauties Kate produces masses of single raspberry to deep rosy-pink flowers above neat, narrow green foliage. The intensely colored blooms carry a spicy clove fragrance and provide a long-lasting display from late spring through summer. Its low, spreading habit makes it especially attractive along border edges, in rock gardens, containers, and mass plantings.
Developed as part of the Beauties series, Kate combines a tidy mounding habit with excellent flower production and evergreen foliage in mild climates. Give it full sun and well-drained soil; sharp drainage is particularly important during winter. Shearing after the main flush of flowers encourages fresh growth and additional blooming.
