Cuphea 'Hummingbird's Lunch'

Cuphea ignea 'CUPP1751'

1 gallon pot

Non-stop blooms will attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies all summer and fall with bright cherry-red two-toned flowers.  Well adapted to hot conditions, and drought tolerant once established. The tidy, rounded habit is perfect for containers, or in garden beds.

While considered hardy in zones 8-11, it is generally grown as an annual here in western WA. It can also be grown as a perennial by planting in a pot that is protected over the winter.

  • Half-Hardy Annual. Zones 8-11
  • Full sun
  • Grows 1.5-2 ft. tall x 2-3 ft. wide
  • Blooms early spring to fall
  • Serious hummingbird magnet!
