Dark burgundy foliage with contrasting pink stripes. Makes an excellent centerpiece and adds a tropical flair to any container.  Its common name is cabbage palm but that doesn't do any justice to its stunning dark purple foliage with hot pink edges or its upright, spiky, subtropical growth that can eventually develop trunks to 5 feet high. Great for subtropical drama. Flowers don't develop for 15-20 years.
